Fundraiser Profit Calculator

Know what your group keeps before you commit.

A fundraiser profit calculator estimates what your group takes home after platform and processing costs. Enter your group size, how many supporters each member asks and your average gift. You get your net, the ask per participant, and the one change that raises the total most.

Built for coaches, band directors, club sponsors and booster parents. No email required.

How This Fundraiser Profit Calculator Works

Five steps, in order. Every figure comes from what you entered. Nothing is hidden.

  1. Participants equals your group members multiplied by the share who take part.
  2. Supporters reached equals participants multiplied by the supporters each one asks.
  3. Gifts equals supporters reached multiplied by the share who give.
  4. Total raised equals gifts multiplied by your average gift.
  5. Your group keeps equals total raised multiplied by your profit percentage.

The range beside the headline figure runs the whole chain twice more, once at 70 percent of the response rate you entered and once at 130 percent. It shows what a slower or a stronger week would do to your total. Neither figure is a benchmark. Both come from the number you set.

Questions Groups Ask

How accurate is a fundraiser profit calculator?

It is exactly as accurate as the figures you feed it. The math is fixed and visible above. The uncertainty sits in your participation rate and your response rate. Enter numbers from a past campaign if you have them, and treat the result as a planning range rather than a promise.

What is a realistic participation rate for a school group?

Only your own records can answer that. Participation depends on how the kickoff is run, whether families hear about it more than once, and whether each member knows their personal target. The calculator starts at 50 percent so the first number you see is cautious rather than flattering.

Why does the number of supporters asked matter so much?

Because it multiplies through every step that follows. Adding five contacts per participant raises supporters reached, gifts and total raised all at once. The comparison above ranks it against participation and average gift using your own figures, so you can see which one is worth your time.

What does profit percentage mean?

It is the share of every dollar raised that stays with your group after platform and payment processing costs. It varies by program and by fundraiser type. Use the percentage on your own agreement rather than the starting figure.
